Welcome to motherside!
So nice to see you here!
Motherside is my vision to provide solid knowledge and raise awareness about Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Issues.
Did you know that,
1 in 3 women suffers from Pelvic Health Problems during her lifetime?
How can be this number so high?
The amazing female body is created to bear and give birth to a child. It makes the pelvis area flexible but also vulnerable. The list of the possible causes of pelvic pain is long:
Endometriosis, PCOS, Bladder-Pain Syndrome, Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP), Diastasis Recti (DRA), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Vulvar Skin Conditions, Scars in the Pelvis and Abdomen, Breast Cancer.
80 % of these dysfunctions are treatable with personalized Physiotherapy!
Most women face pelvic dysfunction around their pregnancy or in the menopausal stage of their lives. To talk about these issues is still a huge taboo and it is very often downplayed with the argument “it happens to everyone”.
Maybe it is common, but having pelvic girdle pain, losing the control over your bladder or bowel, and having regularly pain during sex or your period is absolutely not normal.
Becoming a mother is simply the most beautiful experience in life! And you deserve to be able to fully enjoy it in a healthy, well-functioning body. The first step you can make is to prepare your body and mind for your birth and the first few weeks after delivery.
As a mother of two with ten years of experience as a Physiotherapist, I am a passionate advocate of pain free movement and pelvic health.
I encourage you not to bargain, take back the control over your body and let’s start it today!
I believe to provide the best care for her infant and family, a mother needs to be healthy, confident, and well supported. During our therapy sessions, you can feel free to ask ANY questions without any judgement.
Women' Health Physiotherapy
Where the individual is in the center
As a women’s health physio I work with women at all of the stages of their lives. I work with them during and after pregnancy, fighting chronic pelvic pain, and finding their way through menopause. Their complaints are centered mostly around the pelvis and influenced by hormonal changes. The therapy is always individual, someone needs strengthening, someone relaxation and someone mobilization. The common denominator is education, learning how the female body works and how to support to get stronger and healthier.

Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy- From pregnancy to the postnatal year
Pregnancy and Birth are the most amazing experiences your body is going to go through in your life. But you can also experience back, hip, symphysis pubis, pelvic girdle pain, wrist pain or swelling of your legs, anytime during your pregnancy. Physiotherapy can provide you with safe techniques to reduce these symptoms.
Your body transforms in an unprecedent way and makes your baby possible to enter the world. If you stop for a second to acknowledge it, you can easily accept that after this performance your body needs support and time to recover, especially if you had any trauma during delivery.
6 weeks after giving birth you should be pain free and have full control over your bowels and bladder.
With Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy we can support your body restoring itself after a smooth delivery. It is very important to learn how to take care of your baby in a way that is safe for your recovery.
But also, we can treat or manage any forms of incontinence, restore the balance of your pelvic floor muscles, diaphragm, and abdominal muscles (reducing your rectus diastasis). We can work on post pregnancy posture, reducing any pain in your back, pelvis (coccyx and symphysis too) legs or wrists.
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy- From peri-menopause to menopause and breast cancer
I am greatly positive about the growing awareness of the changes of the female body. The most common complaints are incontinence, persistent pelvic pain, sudden onset of joint pain in different parts of the body. These symptoms can be often explained through the hormonal changes during the peri-menopausal years. A woman with the diagnosis breast cancer can experience these symptoms accelerated due to hormonal therapy, putting them in artificial menopause. As a women’s health Physio I have many techniques to effectively treat those symptoms like, manual therapy, fascial release, down-regulation of the nervous system, pelvic-floor rehabilitation, breathing techniques, scar mobilisation.

Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy- Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndromes
In the last decade we were able to raise awareness about the most common female issues such as Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), Bladder-Pain Syndrome, Irritable Bowel Disease (IBS). Physiotherapy has an important role in managing the pain, restoring function and mobility of the pelvis. We use breathing techniques, scar-, and fascial mobilisation and functional movements to help women get back on track with their lives.
